TRY-OUT INFORMATION

Try-Outs will be the entire week of August 1ST.

 

Athletes must be cleared  before they are allowed to participate in Try-Outs. NO CLEARANCE NO TRY-OUTS. More information about the Clearance Process below.

 

Athletes must attend all specified tryout times to be considered for each respective team. If an athlete is considering more than 1 team to Try-Out for, they only need to attend one (1) Teams Try-Out times. Please consult a coach prior to Try-Outs.

 

Check-in for Try-Outs opens 30 minutes prior to the start of the designated Try-Out time. Players MUST be dressed, checked-in and ready to begin Try-Outs by the designated time. DO NOT BE LATE.

IMPORTANT RULE CHANGE:

Juniors will now be allowed to play on the JV team. For team selection, consult a Coach if you would like to be considered for more than one team.

CLEARANCE PROCESS

What is the Clearance Process?

To be cleared, each athlete interested in participating needs to complete the Clearance process ensuring that athletes meet all eligibility requirements to participate in any COHS Athletic Programs. The Clearance process will now be completed online. Please visit the website at  www.athleticclearance.com to complete the clearance process. 

 

After completing the online clearance, print your confirmation and bring it to the Athletic Director on the specified Clearance Days.

When & Where are the Clearance Days?

Clearance Days will take place in room HC5. You will need to bring a copy of your physical form and confirmation page from the athletic clearance website in order to be cleared. Clearance dates are scheduled for the following dates and times:

What do I do after I complete everything on the Athletic Clearance website?

To complete the clearance process you must attend one of the Specified Clearance Days at COHS and bring a copy of your physical form and confirmation page from the athletic clearance website. Clearance acceptance is reviewed and approved by the Athletic Director. Once approved, the Athletic Director will provide you with your Emergency Information Clearance Form. This form is needed to tryout.

What if I can't attend the Clearance Days?

If you are unable to attend any of the specified Clearance Days, contact the Athletic Director immediately to make alternate arrangements. NO CLEARANCE, NO TRY-OUT!

What do I do once I've been Cleared by the AD?

After the Athletic Director approves your Clearance the Athletic Director will provide you with your Emergency Information Clearance Form. This form is needed to tryout. Clearance forms must be turned into your Coach before participating in Try-Outs. NO CLEARANCE, NO TRY-OUT!

What if I forget or lose my Clearance Form?

If you forget to turn in your Clearance Form before Try-Outs, you must stay and watch your Try-Out time to be considered for the team. If you are cleared but lost your Clearance Form, contact the Athletic Director. You still must be present at your specific Try-Out times to be considered for the team.  NO CLEARANCE, NO TRY-OUT!
